some cherry tomatoes
many garlics
a whole lot of fresh basil
a rather fruity olive oil (trader joe's has many)
so you gotcher cherry tomatoes, and now you wanna really get in there and slice them in half. if you gotcherself a big'un, then hell, you could up and quarter it. dump them in a big bowl. douse them real good with olive oil.
now you got yer garlic which you dont wanna mice too much or nothin. it should be a little chunky, but small enough that even a quartered cherry tomato wont think twice about it. you can dump that in with the tomatoes. i use lots because garlic is pretty awesome.
finally you got yer basil. you wanna chop it pretty good, even drag your blade across it to kinda puree and mash it as well as dicing. then dump all that in with the other stuff. add more olive oil.
now once you got it all mixed, you add salt to taste and mix more, and then syran wrap it. then toss it in the fridge for 4 hours. the flavors need time to mellow and mix.
serve on wedges of bread that have been doused in olive oil then lightly grilled or toasted.
