Asian Braised Celery

this changed my views on celery as a vegetable. turns out it's good for more than just feeling healthy as you eat buff chick dip. recipe lifted and modified from Food Network.

6-8 stalks of celery chopped (no leaves)
1 T butter
1 c broth (chicken or beef)
1 T oyster sauce
1 T soy sauce
1/2 T fish sauce
pinch MSG
salt
pepper

1. In a skillet, melt the butter. Add in the celery so it's in one layer on the bottom of the pan, add salt and pepper til it looks good.

2. Stir it up and let it cook on medium-high heat until the celery starts to get soft. Add the broth, soy, and fish sauces and cover for 5 minutes.

3. Stir and add the oyster sauce and probably more pepper because you didn't add enough the first time. Add a pinch or two of MSG to finish it off and cook down until the liquid has been reduced to a glaze.
